Also Gertie Brownes Pub is a firm local favourite with a wonderful old world charm.	Bay Sports Hodson Bay On the shores of the majestic Lough Ree, a fresh water adventure centre awaits. As well as sailing, kayaking, pier jumping and even Chinese dragon boating there’s one unique must do experience your kids and you will love. Athlone Restaurants Athlone has a really stunning choice of restaurants. In the colourful Left Bank area is Kin Khao award winning thai restaurant. Also the beautiful Left Bank Bistro. On the other side of the bridge is the atmospheric Hatters Lane Bistro for dinner and The Corner House bistro, lovely for lunch. Also The Fatted Calf restaurant, a fantastic choice for dinner.
Athlone Athlone is a picturesque town on the banks of the River Shannon located in the centre of Ireland. Lough Ree just north of the town provides the perfect location for water activities such as angling, cruising, water skiing, wind surfing and sailing. Athlone castle is 800 yrs old and has a wonderful position on the river in the centre of town.
